- Description
- The Government has a requirement for professional Architect/Engineering (A/E) services to prepare construction drawings and specifications for NRM Project 652-03-101 "Replace VAV Boxes". The project will require an engineer to analyze five zones (approx. 100,000 sq. ft.) to replace the existing VAV terminal units and HVAC controls with direct digital controls (DDC) compatible with the Johnson Controls "Metasys" Engineering Control System supporting other areas of the medical center that have been renovated in recent years. Services will include all support services necessary to provide a complete functional design (i.e., electrical engineering, CAD drawings, control interfacing, etc.). The design documents must be complete by June 1, 2003, and will require a 50% and 95% review. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541330, and the size standard is $4 million. This is a total Emerging Small Business Set-aside. Estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. A/E selection will be based on the professional and specialized services as stated in Numbered Note 24. Standard Forms 254 and 255 will be accepted from responsible firms within a 100-mile radius of the VA Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia until 4:00 PM, close of business December 17, 2002. They are to be mailed to Contracting Officer (04E), at the above address. Award is subject to the availability of funds. This is NOT a Request For Proposal and a solicitation document does not exist. The government shall not accept faxed documents and phone calls will not be accepted.
