Description

The sources sought announcement for the Design and Development of Hook Timer Assembly Prototype is hereby modified to add the following requirements. Firms who wish to be considered for the subject project must submit the following information: 1. To what extent has the firm been involved with the marine industry, specifically the fishing industry; 2. What products involving oceanographic systems has the firm developed; 3. What inhouse capability does the firm have in electronic design, mechanical design, polymer engineering and polymer manufacturing; 4. What capability does the firm have to provide electronic clock module, i.e. either agreement with Taiwan manufacturer of specified timing component or details of agreement to procure alternate timing component and what component will be used; and 5. A list of products that involved similar development by the firm. Firms who can meet the above requirements shall respond to this modified sources sought announcement by 1:00 pm CDST on 27 November 2002. Qualifications which make your firm responsive and responsible to this sources sought must be included in your response and mailed to Contracting Officer as given below: U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA; 601 E. 12th Street, Kansas City, MO 64106. This announcement should not be construed as a commitment or authorization to incur costs in anticipation of a solicitation. The Government is not bound to make any awards under this announcement.
