Description
Response date extended to 3 Jan 03 as a result of Amendment 0001. PCO: Suzanne Cole, Contracting Officer, (478) 926-7851, ext. 163 Buyer: Sandy Weickert, Contracting Specialist (478) 926-7851, ext. 141 1. Acquisition is for NSN: 2320-01-125-2481, Part number: K-600, Aircraft hydrant refueling truck, IAW CID A-A-59259. Requirement is for a range of 1-79 (BEQ=56) each in the base year and 4 option years. Option 1 - Range of 1-36 (BEQ=24), Option 2 - Range of 1-17 (BEQ=11), Option 3 - Range of 1-26 (BEQ=17), Option 4 - Range of 1-29 (BEQ=19). The requirement also includes optional accessories and data requirements. A firm-fixed price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery/Quantity (IDIQ) contract is anticipated. FBO Note 1 (100% SBSA) applies. Acquisition will be in accordance with FAR Part 12/15, Commercial/Negotiated procurement procedures. Best value (Price/ Performance Trade-off) evaluation procedures will be used. Shipping instructions will be provided at time of award. 2. Description: The hydrant servicing truck contains equipment for accomplishing fuel transfer between a bulk storage hydrant furling system and military aircraft. The fuel transfers consist of both fueling and defueling. It is air transportable and operates on airfields worldwide. 3. Estimated Milestones: RFP Issue (O/A 30 AUG 02). 4. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
