Description
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) intends to issue a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to: Lockheed Martin, Advanced Concepts Center, 2453 Dakota Lakes Drive, Oak Hill, VA 20171 as a sole source not to exceed $25,000 to provide Information Technology (IT) on site training as listed. Orders will be placed against this BPA via the U.S. Department of Labor Training Authorization and Evaluation Form DL 1-101. The vendor will provide the BLS with the following training as required: -- Object Oriented Testing: The course is designed for quality assurance and software testers, computer specialists, procedures analysts, program office economist and analyst, project leaders and managers involved in testing software in a client-server type environment using object-oriented like programming languages. It is also suitable for those whose main responsibility has been software testing in more traditional systems and now need to upgrade their skills. The course provides an essential grounding in how to go about software testing in today?s IT environment. It also provides a sound understanding of how the traditional procedural approaches can be extended to cater for the new environments and how to maximize efficiency via smarter testing using inspections, coherent planning and control, designing built-in testability and automated tools. The vendor will develop and deliver training services for the BLS as follows: -- Developing and providing classroom training and seminars in courses in the BLS IT training curricula, emerging technologies, software management, and other important IT-related topics; -- Developing and delivering superior course content; -- Providing a BLS on-site library of current course materials; descriptions, outlines and prerequisites; -- Ensuring that course materials reflect current BLS standards. The vendor will provide all services associated with delivering quality training for system developers, analysts, computer specialists, end-users, managers, and project leaders who require a comprehensive understanding of the subject material. The training is to provide participants with new capabilities to significantly improve the way complex systems are analyzed, designed, developed, and implemented. This notice is for information purposes only. No solicitation will be available. The Bureau of Labor Statistics will proceed with the BPA if no responses are received within fifteen(15) days of this notification. Correspondence must reference this notification number.
