- NA This announcement will be used as a market research tool. The Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) is conducting this market survey to determine the interest and capability of industry to participate in a competitive acquisition for a cable assem bly, NSN 6150-00-255-8332, P/N 72289-100, 100 foot long cable. Description is as follows: Cable-four no. 6 AWG conductor, round construction, type G, with ground, portable power cable. Cable shall conform to IPCEA PUB NO. 5-19-81 and IPCEA PUB NO. 5-68- 676, for 90 degrees C rating cable shall incorporate four (4) No. 6 AWG copper power conductors of 133 strand (19 x 7 preferred, 7 x 19 acceptable) and four (4) No. 12 AWG 37 strand grounding wires. Power conductor insulation shall be 90 degrees C EPR or a blend of EPR and XLP for 90 degrees C service. Grounding wires shall be encased with a continuous surface extruded material compatible with 90 degrees C requirements. Color coding shall be black - phase A, white - neutral N, Red - phase B, blue - phase C (orange for phase C when specified), green - grounding wires G. Cable jacket shall be two layer, reinforced between layers, heavy duty, chlorosulfonated polyethylene. Jacket shall be black (colored when specified). Finished cable shall be round and s mooth and shall have no continuous groove or indent on outer surface. Cable shall be marked by ink, or raised lettering at intervals. Cable O.D. shall be 1.10 plus or minus .03 inch. Natural fibers shall not be used for fillers or reinforcing.
