Description
This is not a presolicitation notice pursuant to FAR 15, but is a market survey to indentify sources that possess the capabilities and expertise to meet the Air Force requirements for the following engineering study: The purpose of this engineering study is to ensure the ATE provides continuous support of the Cruise Missile mission, B-52H, B-1B, and B-2A aircraft mission to 2030 by modification or replacement of the current ATS with prototyping option to confirm the study recommendation. The study is needed to recommend areas for improvement in the performance, accuracy, supportability, safety, usability (Human), producibility, reliability, maintainability, and disposability (Suitable Retirement) of the Cruise Missile and Bomber Suspension/Release Automated Test System. This market survey does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a committment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for particpation in the study. The extent of any foreign participation or level of security clearances required to receive any resulting solicitation has not yet been determined. Therfore, participation in this study may not necessarily result in your compny being able to participate in any future solicitation. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements may be advantageous for prospective offerors. Responses to the the survey capability questions are due prior to close of business Monday, December 02, 2002.
