- Description
- The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) is seeking potential sources capable of performing Base Refuse/Recycling Collection, Landfill Operation and Oil/Water Separator Maintenance Services for Edwards AFB, CA. Refuse/Recycling collection services entail the collecting, sorting, recycling, bundling, storing, and disposal of waste. Landfill operation entails the management of a 64-acre Class III Landfill and oil/water separator maintenance entails maintaining 16 High Performance Oil Water Separators in accordance with manufacturer?s Operation & Maintenance manuals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this effort is 562111. It is anticipated that a fixed-price contract will be awarded. The Government is considering a period of performance of a one to two year basic period with from three to nine one-year options. Contract award is estimated to take place August 2003. Source Selection procedures can be found in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 15.3-Source Selection, Air Force FAR Supplement (AFFARS) and the Air Force Materiel Command FAR Supplement (AFMCFARS) thereto. These regulations are available electronically at the Air Force (AF) FAR Site, http://farsite.hill.af.mil and will be used to obtain the best value for the Government for this acquisition. This synopsis is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation for bids/proposals. Responses will assist the Government in determining whether to set-aside/restrict competition in some way or solicit offers from all responsible sources. All interested offerors need to submit the following information: (1) identify current or recent (last 3 years) performance for same or similar work as described in this notice, to include a brief description of the work performed, prime contract or subcontract; (2) dates of actual performance; (3) annual value of contracted effort; (4) location of work performed to include city and state; (5) key customer points of contact to include phone numbers; (6) business size and type i.e. 8(a), SDB, Hub Zone, Large etc. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this announcement. Responses to this notice must be by fax or e-mail. Responses to this notice are due by 18 Nov 02.
