- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific, Alameda, CA, proposes to contract the drydock and repairs of USCGC MUNRO (WHEC 724), a 378? high endurance cutter, homeported in Alameda, CA. All work shall be at the successful contractor?s facility during the period of 03 March 2003 through 29 April 2003. Work items to include: production control, Gantt Bar Chart provide, appendages (U/W) leak test, appendages (underwater) preserve, internal, berthing area locker replacement (CSMP 01015), chain locker clean and inspect, hull plating renewal, hull plating, UW body inspect, MGT exhaust deck renewal (CSMP 00006), renew void manholes and covers, stern tube NDT inspection (CSMP 02011), ultrasonic measurement of hull plating thickness, voids (non-accessible) leak test, voids (non accessible) preserve, 100%, tanks (MP Fuel stowage and overflow) clean and inspect, tanks (aviation fuel stowage) clean and inspect, weathertight and watertight door renewal and replacement (CSMP 02007 & 2008), propulsion shaft coating inspect and clean, propulsion shaft fairwaters and rope guards inspect and repair, propulsion shaft seals (inflatable) renew, propulsion shaft seals (mechanical) inspect and clean, propulsion shaft external bearings check clearances, controllable pitch propeller system general maintenance, fathometer transducers general maintenance, sea strainers (all sizes) overhaul, firemain valve (>=2.5 inches) inspection and overhaul, magazine sprinkler valves (<2.5 inches) overhaul, magazine sprinkler valves, (>=2.5 inches), overhaul, evaporator (general) overhaul, rudder stock bearings check clearances, warping capstan Level 2 inspection and test, bilges preserve, hull plating, underwater body preserve, partial, temporary services, drydock provide, drydock, etc.. On or about 15 days from issuance of this notice, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued, in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Contractor?s. Potential offerors are advised that the solicitation, specifications and other notifications can also be accessed on the web site: www.eps.gov. All responsive sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantage Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
