- NOTE: All responses to this IFB shall be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, 5555 E. Crossroads Blvd., Attn: J5620, Loveland, CO. 80538 89896 Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The work includes but is not limited to furnishing and installing microwave towers, installing furnished microwave antennas complete with hardware. Design, furnish and install one 100 foot and one 150 foot steel microwave tower, install a furnished 50 foot extension to an existing 250 foot steel lattice microwave tower and any other incidental work to complete this project. Work shall be conducted at various Western?s Microwave Sites, located in Mesa, El Paso, Custer, and Montrose Counties, Colorado. All work shall commence within 20 calendar days after Receipt of Notice to proceed. All work at Midway shall be completed within 150 days of receipt of Notice to Proceed, Montrose within 200 days of receipt of Notice to Proceed with all work completed no later than August 15, 2003. The magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 to $500,000. There will only be one award from this solicitation. Therefore, all Bidders must submit their bids on an "all or none basis". This solicitation will be issued on or about November 19, 2002. Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The closing date is on or about December 19, 2002. This proposed procurement is full and open. National American Industry Classification Code is 23491 and the applicable size standard is $27.5 million. The solicitation will be posted electronically at this web site. The specification and drawings will be issued hard copy. Requests for specifications and drawings must be submitted in writing by faxing 970.461.7377 or by email (gutierre@wapa.gov). Information hours are from 7:00am (MT) to 3:00pm (MT), Monday through Friday.
