- NOTE: All responses to this RFQ shall be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, 5555 E. Crossroads Blvd., Attn: J1531, Loveland, CO. 80538 8986. Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The work includes but is not limited to removal and disposal of existing concrete foundations, compacted backfill, construction of new concrete foundations, and furnishing and installing steel galvanized structures and any other incidental work to complete this project. Work shall be conducted at Western?s Midway Substation, located in El Paso County, Colorado. All work shall commence within 10 calendar days after Receipt of Notice to Proceed with Phase I of the work in Bay 2 to be completed within 30 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Phase 2 which includes Bay 8 and all other work shall begin with the receipt of the Notice to Proceed that will be issued on or before March 15, 2003 and complete the entire work ready for use not later than April 18, 2003. The magnitude of this construction project is between $25,000 to $100,000. There will only be one award from this solicitation. Therefore, all Offerors must submit their quotes on an "all or none basis". This solicitation will be issued on or about November 4, 2002. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The closing date is on or about November 25, 2002. This proposed procurement is full and open. National American Industry Classification Code is 238910 and the applicable size standard is $12 million. The solicitation will be posted electronically at this web site. The specification and drawings will be issued hard copy. Requests for specifications and drawings must be submitted in writing by faxing 970.461.7377 or by email (gutierre@wapa.gov). Information hours are from 7:00am (MT) to 3:00pm (MT), Monday through Friday.
