- This is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The actual RFP, with information and specifications will be available on the Gateway website (see instructions below) after November 22, 2002. Please note that all dates are estimated. Visit http://ct.dscp.dla.mil/Contracting/ for helpful information including drawing requests. --All contractors MUST be CCR registered and have a CAGE code. (call 1-800-227-2423 or https://www.ccr.dlis.dla.mil to register) --------------------------- See Notes # 1, 9 and 26. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside -- BUY AMERICAN ACT applies. ------------ --- ***ITEMS: This is an acquisition for 5 separate U.S. National Flags/ Various Sizes. The following NSNs are included: 8345-00-656-1434, 8345-00-656-1441, 8345-00-656-1446, 8345-00-656-1438, and 8345-00-656-1437. 4 flags are made of lightweight nylon and 1 is made of heavyweight nylon. All flags are made in accordance with DDD-F-416D and drawing 5-1-17 rev 2 dated 12/09/1975. Quantities will range from 100 to 5000 flags per NSN with a combined quantity of 7657 flags. Deliveries will be made to Phoenix, AZ and New Cumberland, PA 150 days after award is made with one first article sample of each flag due 75 days after award. Details for each flag will be available with the solicitation.---------------- Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. --------------------INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETRIEVING SOLICITATION----------------- Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after November 22, 2002. From the Gateway homepage, select 'Search RFPs' from the left-hand sidebar. Select 'Solicitation' and type the Solicitation number you wish to view (SP010003R0015). Click search. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Gateway technical assistance is available at admin_support@pgmail.daps.mil.*** Important Note on Foreign Content*** The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as 'The Berry Amendment' impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and 'specialty metals' (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
