- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for all labor, material, transportation, equipment, and supervision required to perform scheduled services on ten (10) Caterpillar diesel engines per the manufacturer's service manual, as modified by the Government, for various portal cranes located at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. Contract will be for a base period of performance from the date of award through one year thereafter, with the possibility of four one-year option periods. The 100% small business set-aside (NAICS 333618) commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 7 Nov 02 with a closing date of 2 Dec 02. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to joshua_c_carter@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. Please do not call with questions regarding the posting of the solicitation on NECO until after the posting date, 7 November 2002. No bidder list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ / amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. To be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
