- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTIFICATION: THIS SPECIAL NOTICE IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Academy is soliciting information from knowledgeable sources on suggested strategies and capabilities within the commercial market place to assist in the development of potential educational curricula and training support service requirements. The NTSB is in the process of building an academy to provide highly specialized education and training to transportation accident investigators from around the world. In an effort to capture NTSB investigator's experience and highly specialized expertise, the NTSB is seeking ideas on how to best capture this specialized material, and from it, create professional curricula, student and instructor manuals, and multi media visual aids to support classroom instruction. Respondents should describe their capabilities and how they would work collaboratively with the NTSB's subject matter experts (SME's) to develop curricula and supporting materials to assist them in instructing technical courses. NTSB is interested in those sources that have experience in supporting technical training centers and working with SME's in the development of curriculum and that can provide innovative cost effective techniques to accomplish the needs of NTSB. Interested parties are invited to submit their responses no later than November 30, 2002 to Marla Pope, Contracts at popem@ntsb.gov. This notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation for bids, proposals or quotes. The Government does not intend, at this time, to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided. NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
