- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation Number is DTCG40-03-Q-40223. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-09. The applicable North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333923 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is being solicited on a sole source basis. It is anticipated that a non-competitive, sole source acquisition will be issued to Syncrolift, 9130 South Dadeland Boulevard, Miami, Florida 33156 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY. Description: 200 Ton Bogie Assemblies complete with screw jacks, complete internally wired control panels, all necessary power and control panels, and Syncrolift wheel assemblies. Bogie assemblies shall be manufactured in accordance with Joyce/Dayton Drawing PD-165-73-1-1, Revision A, with the exception of the transfer wheel gauge, which shall be located at 9?-5-1/4? centers. Quoted pricing shall also incorporate operational and load testing at the fabrication site, drawing approval by ABS, shipping to the U.S. Coast Guard YARD, and the services of a Syncrolift Engineer for a two-day duration to supervise initial start-up and operation of the system. Delivery is required no later than eight (8) weeks from date of contract. THIS IS AN URGENT REQUIREMENT. PLEASE PROVIDE BEST POSSIBLE DELIVERY SCHEDULE. Delivery shall be made to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Receiving Room, Building #24, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. The FOB point is Destination. Quotes may be submitted on company letterhead stationary and must include the following information: Solicitation Number, Nomenclature, Unit Price, Extended Price, Delivery Schedule, Payment Terms and discount offered for prompt payment, and must include the required FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (Jul 2002) of copies can be obtained by calling the Agency. Price evaluation will be performed by the Contracting Officer to determine the reasonableness of each proposed price and to determine the Offeror?s understanding of the work and ability to perform the contract. This requirement will be awarded on an all or none basis. The closing date and time for receipt of offers is 05 November 2002, 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
