Description

Time charter of a US Flag vessel to provide the assets and personnel required to support NOAA?s hydrographic survey program in both the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf of Alaska. These hydrographic surveys are conducted to determine the configuration of the bottoms of bodies of water, especially as it pertains to navigation. This configuration includes the detection, location, and identification of wrecks and obstructions. The work to be performed also includes the collection of supporting information such as tide and shoreline data. Other features important to marine navigation such as landmarks and aids to navigation are also accurately positioned. The information gathered is critically important to the production of nautical charts while also of benefit to both the fishing industry and coastal zone managers. The successful bidder / offeror for this contract will be responsible for providing and operating a vessel and various small craft in support of this program and providing services for up to five Government personnel. The successful bidder / offeror will also be responsible for all maintenance, both preventative and corrective, to their vessels and craft. The Contractor will operate and maintain all vessels, craft, equipment, and systems in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer?s technical manuals and specifications.
