- Description
- The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School and Heath Sciences University, intends to solicit and award a contract to a certified Small Business Administration 8(a) contractor in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to provide custodial services to include all necessary management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, equipment and services to USUHS, Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI), and various out buildings on the campus. This service shall be for a period of nine months for the base period and four (4) consecutive additional option periods of one year each. The period of performance will be Base Period: 01 January 2003 through 30 September 2003, Option Year 1: 01 October 2003 through 30 September 2004, Option Year 2: 01 October 2004 through 30 September 2005, Option Year 3: 01 October 2005 through 30 September 2006, Option Year 4: 01 October 2006 through 30 September 2007. The work for this project consists of but not limited to routine custodial cleaning, waxing, stripping, mopping, vacuuming of floors, dusting, restroom cleaning, trash removal, and recycling. Contractor will also be working in areas of research laboratories, medical school laboratories and anatomy laboratory. NAICS 56172. Solicitation is expected to be released on or about 14 November 2002, the closing date will be on or about 12 December 2002, the closing date is approximate and will be established when the solicitation is released. Ensure your request clearly identifies the complete mailing address to which the solicitation should be sent, in addition to a point of contact, phone number and fax number. All questions must be made in writing and requested either by fax or mail. There will be a one time only site visit on 26 November 2002 at 9:30A.M. at USUHS, 4301 Jones Bridge Road, Bethesda, MD 20814-4799, Building A, Room 1040C. Due to Department of Defense security regulations all contractor personnel who attend the walk through, must be a U.S.Citizen. All contractors attending the walk through must fax the name and social security number of each person two days prior to the walk through date.
