Description
The General Services Administration intends to negotiate a sole source award for the Department of the Army, Weed Army Community Hospital, Ft. Irwin, CA 92310 with GE Medical Systems. This procurement is for a patient monitoring system. The monitor is a portable system, which is used to monitor the patients? vital signs, ie. Heart-rate, oxygen saturation-pulseox (SA02) wave form; respiratory detection, gas detection to include CO2. This unit is specialized in that the system is wireless; therefore the patient can be monitored anywhere within the hospital. This system is expandable by adding different modules/accessories for use in the operating room, neonatal intensive care unit, hospital wqrds, life-flight helicopter operations. This system is unique because it is the only monitoring system with simultaneous ST segment analysis that allows the user to monitor all walls of the heart simultaneously, rather than choosing one. The EK Pro feature is the only arrahythmia detection algorithm that analyzes beats in four leads. The system is expandable to perform 12 lead EKG, defibrillate, noninvasive hemdynamioc impedance cardiography. The monitor has remote capability and able to hold data on up to 16 patients for approximately 24-hours with critical event recall. The SIC Code is 3845 and the NAICS Code is 334510. All interested parties must submit a capability statement that sufficiently describes their qualifications and previous experience relevant to fulfilling the above requirement. Capability statements shall include evidence that the firm has previous experience in providing this requirement. Please provide the statements via e-mail only to joe.pechinko@gsa.gov by November 15, 2002; 4:30 p.m. Local Pacific Time. The awardee is required to register in IT Solutions Shop at it-solutions.gsa.gov for post-award processing. This notice is not a solicitation nor is it a formal Request for Proposal. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In the absence of responses from firms that believe they have the capability to provide these services, GSA intends to negotiate with GE Medical 3000 North Grandview, Waukesha, WI 53188.
