- MARCORSYSCOM intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract, utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to ThermoGear, Inc., 9102-J Industry Drive Manassas Park, VA 20111 for the Chillbuster Warming Blanket. The contract will be firm fixed-price. Procurement will be for 30 units. The Chillbuster Warming Blanket is a commercial item and is the only electronic blanket that can be operated for an extended period of time by battery, making it unique for field operations. It has been FDA approved and certified to meet electro-magnetic interference (EMI) standards allowing the item to be moved with the patient aboard a lift of opportunity as part of the Forward Resuscitative Surgery Sytem (FRSS). The Chillbuster Warming Blanket is specified on the Navy's Authorized Medical Allowance List (AMAL). No solicitation Document exists. Numberd Note 22 applies.
