Description
Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division has a requirement for sand, crushed limestone and gravel to be provided in accordance with Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) State specifications dated 1999 or most current update and the 2002 American Railway Engineering Association Specifications. NSWC Crane intends to issue a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisitions of Commercial Items, with the intent of awarding an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract. Numbered note 1 applies (100% Set-Aside for Small Business). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 212312 and the size standard is 500 employees. All products must be manufactured by an Indiana Certified Aggregate Producer. Proof of certification shall be required with the offerors proposal. Contractor must be ca pable of meeting a daily usage capacity of 2000 tons. The anticipated period of performance will be for one year with four one-year option periods. The following crushed limestone will be required in accordance with Indiana Department of Transportation State specifications 1999 or most current update: Size No.53; Size No. 11; Size No. 73; Size No. 8; Surge (This is a mixture of RIP-RAP, No. 2 stone and No. 53 stone); Size No. 2. Revetment RIPRAP; Stone Shot Rock designated Rip Rap, commercial grade, Quarry Run. NSWC Crane also has a requirement for Sand No. 24, washed, clean free of dirt and objectionable matter in accordance with Indiana Department of Transportation State specification 1999 or most current update. Crushed Limestone, Size No. 4 ballast, Class A in accordance with American Railway Engineering Association specifications 2002 or most current update.
