This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference Task ID 5TC1702Z001. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2001-08. This RFQ is issued under Full and Open Competition. NAICS Code: 334310, Audio and Video Manufacturing Equipment, applies. Size Standard: 750 employees. Provide a price for Video editor Equipment and components. Requirement is for each of the following items and quantities: (1) Avid Media Composer 9000XL (http://www.avid.com/products/composer/index.asp), one each; (2) Avid Dual LVD (Low Voltage Differential) SCSI Kit, one each; (3)Compaq EVO W8000, one each; (4) Artel Software Boris RED v2.0, one each; (5) Avid Assurence Support, one each; (6) MMG On Site Service Warranty, one each; (7) MMG On Site Editor Training, one each; and (8) MMG Integration, one each. The requirement is for a Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) product. The products shall be Section 508 Compliant. Deliver to Naval Hospital Corps. School; 601 D Street, Building 130, Great Lakes, IL 60088; Attn: Matthew Ives, LT MSC, USNR. Required delivery date for all required products listed above: no later than 15 November 2002. Execution of the basic requirement is contingent upon fund availability. FAR 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition. 52.212-1(b)(4): Offerors shall submit existing product literature in lieu of unique written technical proposals. FAR 52.212-2 shall not apply to this acquisition. Award shall be made based on lowest-price, technically acceptable proposal. Proposals shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3. FAR 52.212-4 applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-5 applies to this acquisition -- 52.212-5(b): The following additional FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.222-26; 52.222-35; 52.222-36; 52.222-37, and 52.232-33.
