Description
VA Medical Center (VAMC), Minneapolis, MN solicits the following with procurement being conducted under FAR Subpart 13.5 Test Program; simplified acquisition procedures apply. VA will conduct the procurement according to a combination of FAR Par 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.=20 Solicitation #RFP 618-51-03 is assigned as Request for Proposal from those firms regularly engaged in protective coatings and linings for industry. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2002-09. This procurement is set aside for small business. NAICS code is 325510 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. A pre-proposal SITE WALK is scheduled for Friday, November 8, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. CST. Meet at Building 69 located east of VA Medical Center and north of Crosstown Hwy 62. Failure to attend this conference will not relieve the successful Contractor from compliance with all specifications, terms and conditions of resultant contract. Provide all labor and equipment and necessary materials, technical expertise and supervision to perform ultrasound testing, replace manway access, tank repairs as needed and line/coat 5000 gallon make-up water tank for steam boilers with trowel epoxy; provide labor, material, technical expertise and supervision to coat interior of cooling tower concrete block condenser pit with elastomeric coating. Perform all work within technical industry standards and in accordance with attached RFP 618-51-03 specifications, terms and conditions. Anticipate award on or before 11/30/02. After Notice to Proceed, complete all work within 30 calendar days. If weather conditions prevent performance, Contractor will perform work in early spring, 2003, when weather permits =96 coordinated with VAMC Facilities Engineering. Warrant labor and material for at least 1 year period after acceptance by Government.=20 Award will be firm fixed-price contract, FOB destination. Service Contract Act is applicable to resultant contract.
