- Description
- BASE CUSTODIAL SERVICES, HURLBURT FIELD FLORIDA. Hurlburt Field is an Air Force installation that is located in the Florida Panhandle mid-way between Panama City, Florida and Pensacola, Florida. This acquisition is reserved under the Section 8(a) Program for firms located in the Small Business Administration's Region 4 limited to 8(a) certified firms in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Contractors shall provide a letter from the Small Business Administration (SBA) showing proof of Section 8(a) status, or in the case of a teaming arrangement or joint venture, provide evidence of SBA sanction of the teaming effort. In addition, contractors must submit evidence of SBA approved ?bonafide office? for either Florida, Georgia or Alabama with their proposals. Responses will be accepted only from firms meeting the above criteria at the time of proposal receipt. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561720 with a size standard of $12,000,000.00. This contract will be a "Price Performance Trade-Off" contract. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. The resulting contract shall be a firm-fixed-price with a Base Year and four (4) Option Years. The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, and supplies to accomplish the custodial services required by Hurlburt Field in accordance with the specifications provided in the solicitation. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 15 April 2002. A pre-proposal conference will be held at Hurlburt Field, Florida approximately 10 days after issuance of the solicitation. Date for the pre-proposal conference will be posted with the solicitation. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD central registration database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued, but the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Government's Electronic Posting System: http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
