Description

SUBJECT: COMMERCIALIZATION OPPORTUNITY FOR MERCURY MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY DESC: The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) intends to license two (2) technologies related to the measurement of mercury in gases: 1) a method to compensate for interferences to mercury measurement in gases (patent number 5,750,992) and, 2) a gas-phase mercury reduction method to permit the measurement of total mercury in exhaust gases (patent number 5,879,948). The two technologies can be integrated into a mercury continuous emissions monitoring system for accurate, real-time measurement and speciation of mercury in gases. Potential licensees should express interest in the technologies in writing by mail or fax to TVA no later than NOVEMBER 25, 2002, including proposed license terms and a brief statement of your experience and capabilities to commercialize the technology. As resources permit, TVA's Environmental Research and Services staff will be available on a fee basis for technology engineering and commercialization support. TVA will entertain proposals for both the exclusive and non-exclusive licensing of the technology. Reply and requests for additional information should be directed to Tracey R.
