- This announcement is issued for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract for the rental of equipment listed. The quantities listed are estimates only. The quantities listed under the Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) estimated the total rental period that may result from any one order or combination of orders for a one year period. Actual rentals will be through orders placed during the ordering period of 20 Nov 2002 through 19 Nov 2003 for the first year. Option year 1, if exercised is for the ordering period 20 Nov 2003 through 19 Sep 2004. Option year 2, if exercised is for the ordering period 20 Nov 2004 through 19 Nov 2005. The amount of rental months and shipping quantities are estimates only. A rental period of individual equipment may be for one month or longer depending on the duration of the project. Any rental beyond this initial period may be extend ed weekly or daily. The transportation charges are firm fixed price for the life of the contract, as are the rental rates. The Contractor must deliver the Forklifts within seven (3) calendar days of notification by the Contracting Office (verbal or written). In all practicality, longer notice will be given when possibly, often at least seven days in advance. Orders will be placed against the contract by delivery order. The delivery order will specify the exact equipment requirements, the required start up and delivery dates, the estimated duration of useage, the point of contact for delivery and/or pick up. The rental period is based on a 28 day month. Please see specifications and clauses for specific information regarding billing process. The first off site delivery required against the contract issued will be needed approximately 21 Nov 2002 at Subase NLON, Gr oton, CT. Immediately following is a requirement for a 26 ton at Portmouth Naval Shipyard Item 0001 - Forklift, 26 ton capacity, Qty 12 months. Item 0002 - Forklift, 7.5 ton capacity, Qty 26 weeks, Item 0003 - Forklift, 3.5 ton, Qty 52 weeks. 1st Option Year if exercised. Items 0004 thru 0006 (same as items 0001-0003); items 0007 - 0010(same as items 0001-0003) for 2nd Option Year, if exercised. Deliveries as mentioned above will be to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH; Groton, CT. A copy of solicitation will be available on line at www.neco.navy.mil nlt 08 November 2002.
