- Description
- Construction Management Firm and Manager SAIC Frederick Inc., Operations and Technical Support Contractor for the National Cancer Institute at Frederick (NCI-Frederick) under Contract number NO1-CO-12400 requires the services of a Construction Management firm/Manager for a cGMP Pilot Plant construction project. The Construction Management firm/Manager, teaming with our contracted Architect/Engineering firm, will coordinate and procure project activities with all parties associated with the Pilot Plant to include but not limit to construction contracts. The project entails renovation and upgrades to an existing building. The existing building is approximately 100,000 GSF. This renovated building, Pilot Plant, will include: (2) small scale (100L), (1) medium scale (400L) and (1) large scale (200L) process suites, large and small scale fill/ finish suites, warehouse, Quality Control laboratories and administrative areas. The work includes, but is not limited to, structural upgrades, architectural upgrades, installation of new plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, installation of new reverse osmosis, water for injection, and clean steam and process waste systems. This announcement is solely intended to identify qualified companies/managers that can perform construction management services for this type of effort.. From the information provided in response to this request, SAIC Frederick, together with the NCI Frederick, will evaluate these sources and select qualified Construction Management Firms that enable them to submit a response to a formal Request for Proposal for Construction Management services.. Selected contractors may be invited to present their qualifications to a selection board. Significant selection criteria in order of importance are: 1. Specialized, recent experience (during the past five years) of the proposed construction manager in cGMP. 2. Professional qualifications, registration and specialized experience of the proposed construction manager. 3. Past performance of the proposed construction manager (during the last five years), ratings of Government agencies and private industry in terms of: Cost accuracy and control Quality of work Compliance and performance schedules Responsiveness to customer Construction Manager effectiveness In order to assist the selection board in review of all applications, please include the following information representative of your firm and individual Construction Manager qualifications to perform the above and below mentioned criteria. 1. Summarize at least five cGMP construction management projects completed within the last five years. 2. For each project presented, provide the following information: Owner point of contact with title and telephone number. Original design, size (sf), submitted cost and schedules, owner-approved time extensions and final execution cost and schedules (in bar chart format). Unique approaches to plan and execute projects with similar working conditions such as ?fast tracking? 3. Describe the proposed construction manager with the following information: Firm?s name and office location Key management staff individual?s name and assigned team responsibility. Construction Manager?s r?sum? including: professional degree(s) and date(s), professional registration(s), date(s) and state(s) and synopsis of cGMP experience relevant to a construction manager and names of company and years with each firm and types of experience with each firm.
