Description
The Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service intends to award a sole source purchase order to Cooper Motor Corporation. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the Department of the Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of The African Development Foundation. This action is being processed in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, and solicited in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The African Development Foundation has a requirement to provide a vehicle for the new ADF office in Kampala, Uganda. The vehicle will be a new Land Rover Discovery Td5 GS model, five-door station wagon. This new Land Rover will be equipped with left hand drive, permanent 4 wheel drive with 2.5lt. 5 cylinder Diesel, direct injection turbo charged and intercooled engine, manual transmission, with high/low transfer gear range, power and tilt adjustable steering power mirrors/windows, Electonic engine immobilization, ABS-antilock braking system, HDC - hill descent control, radio cassette-midline ice, 4 speakers, driver airbag, air-conditioning, antiroll bar, load space cover, ABS system; 4 wheel electonic traction control, central locking/alarm systems, power steering wheel, head lamp power wash, head lamp leveling, steel rims-electric pack, seven cloth seats, rear wiper, coil front spring, electrically operated and heated door mirrors and disc brakes all round. Required extras include nudge bar, rear lamp guards, spare wheel cover, seat covers. The local purchase will ensure better follow-up maintenance. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals in US dollars received within 5 working days after the date of publication of this synopsis.
