Description
This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has a requirement to provide an Aid Control and Monitor System (ACMS) for use in monitoring and controlling various USCG aids to navigation sites and platforms. A majority of the aids to navigation sites are lighthouses but also consist of buoys, foghorn sites, and range light sites located throughout the U.S. The monitor system shall monitor status and provide the watch stander with a visual status display and an audio alarm of the remote sites. The control system shall provide the capability to reset the remote sites, turn "ON" and "OFF" remote equipment, and exercise remote equipment as specified. The anticipated life cycle of the automated monitoring and control hardware shall be 10 years. The Coast Guard seeks to identify commercial off the shelf (COTS) products that meets the system requirements as specified herein and the attached Requirements Lists. Any solicitation resulting from this notice may also include the requirement for the supplier to install the systems purchased. All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis and shall be considered by the Coast Guard. Information provided by responsible sources shall not constitute a proposal and no award will be made from this notice. The Government does not intend to pay for the information received. Any interested sources shall submit a technical capability statement that demonstrates a minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing and installing the required ACMS, a catalog price list, and product literature that includes a technical schematic.
