- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is issuing this solicitation for hand-held metal detectors in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 5.203(a)(1). The contract type for this requirement is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract. This solicitation is issued as a commercial item acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. The Government's requirement includes hand-held metal detectors and optional accessories: holster, cleaning kits, earphones, and wrist straps, etc. The solicitation document contains a Brand Name or Equal purchase description with associated salient characteristics. The period of performance is a base period and three (3) one-year option periods. The requirement is a total small business set-aside in accordance with FAR Part 19.5. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this action is 334519 and associated size standard is 500 employees. Electronic files containing the full text of the solicitation are issued concurrently with this synopsis. Offerors responding to this Request for Proposals shall submit the offers in hard copy with an original plus three (3) copies. Fax or electronic submissions will not be considered. See Note #1.
