- SYNOPSIS, NON-PERSONAL SERVICES: The contractor shall provide all supplies (with the exception of BDU nametapes and USAF tapes), equipment, tools, labor, and other items and services (except as specified as Government Furnished) necessary to fit an alter Air Force service uniforms at Air Force Clothing Initial Issue Flight (AFCIIF), Lackland AFB, TX. Selected clothing to be altered and fitted in accordance with (IAW) Air Force Instruction (AFI) 36-2903, Dress and Personal Appearance of Air Force Personnel, Basic Military Training Guide for Alterations and Fitting, and the Statement of Work (SOW). This is a requirement for one day fitting and alteration of Air Force service uniforms, to include the sewing on of Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) nametapes and USAF tapes to the BDU shirt and Field Jacket. Air Force personnel will issue and fit BDUs. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract in support of an estimated 47,500 basic trainees and prior service personnel per year at Lackland AFB, TX. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated, with a base period and four (4) option periods, commencing on 1 Dec 2002 or date of award whichever is later. This is a best value acquisition using Performance Price Trade-Off procedures. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 18 October 2002. It will be available only via the Federal Business Opportunities web site (www.eps.gov). No paper copies will be furnished. Potential offerors shall register at www.eps.gov in order to receive notification and or changes to the solicitation. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database as prescribed by DFARS 252.204-7004. CCR can be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or accessed via the Internet. THIS ACQUISITION IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 811490 with a size standard of $6 million.
