- DESCRIPTION: This is the second (2nd) synopsis to advise industry, for planning and/or preparation purposes, of a requirement at Air Force Space Command, 21st Space Wing, Peterson Air Force Base (AFB), CO, that is currently in the preliminary planning stages. While the action being advertised is certain to occur, the amount of contractual-related information available for publication at this time is limited. The 21st Contracting Squadron at Peterson AFB, CO, under Office of Manpower and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76, anticipates the need for non-personal services in support of the mission of the 21st Communications Squadron, Peterson AFB, CO. These services include, but may not be limited to, Records Management, publishing, Air Force Satellite Communications (AFSATCOM) Radio operations and maintenance, Military Satellite terminal, Switchboard/Telephone operations, Visual Information, visual graphics photographic services, Base Information Transfer System (BITS), Postal service, Base Communication Center (BCC), and Land Mobile Radio (LMR) maintenance. We anticipate a 15 Aug 2002 release of the DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP). The service provider shall also be required to interface with other contractors or government agencies in support of issues dealing with Peterson AFB systems in areas where a contractor is the functional manager. This listing should be considered neither final nor all-inclusive at this time. The estimated contract start date is 1 Dec 2003, preceded by a 60-day phase in period to commence 1 Oct 2003. Performance Periods are expected to be one basic year with 4 one-year options. A 100% Small Business Set Aside is anticipated. The anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 513310 and a Business Size Standard of 1500 employees. The government anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract with a Cost-Reimbursable contract line item.
