- Description
- PACKING, CONTAINERIZATION AND LOCAL DRAYAGE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY SHIPMENTS. Requirement consists of packing, containerization, and local drayage of personal property shipments, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina to include but not limited to preparing personal property of military members and civilian employees for inbound, outbound, intra-city area movement, or drayage and related services. The contract will include a base year period (01 Jan 03 - 31 Dec 03) and two pre-priced option periods. This action is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate interest to the Contracting Officer, in writing, as early as possible but not later than 5 calendar days of this notice. As a minimum the following information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern; (b) a positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract as a prime contractor; (c) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts and telephone numbers. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. A decision on whether this requirement will be pursued as a HUBZone small business set-aside or as a small business set aside will be posted on FedBizOpps within 3 calendar days after the above 5 calendar days have expired. The applicable North America Industry Codes System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 488991 with a three-year average annual small business size standard of $18.5 million. The successful contractor will be selected using performance/price tradeoff procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. Recent, relevant, past and present performance is defined as performance of the same or similar type of work within the last three years. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically o/a 30 Jul 02 on the Government?s Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies are not available. You must register on that site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. Additionally, you may add your name to a Offerors List maintained by the issuing office by providing the following information to Lt Jim Thigpen, via FAX (919) 722-5414 or by e-mail at jim.thigpen@seymourjohnson.af.mil (1) the company name, (2) point of contact, (3) phone and FAX numbers, (4) e-mail address, (5) street address with 9-digit zip code, and (6) business size status. E-mail is the preferred method of providing this information. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Registering may take up to 3 weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
