- SSA-OTSO-03-0264: Third Shift Onsite Customer Support Engineer: The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for an Onsite Customer Support Engineer to provide maintenance and repair service for two Pitney Bowes Mail Inserters which operate around the clock. SSA intends to negotiate and award a contract/order for the ongoing support services with PITNEY BOWES; 7630 Little River Turnpike, 8th Floor; Annandale, VA 22003. This will be a follow-on order to prior orders issued to Pitney Bowes for the services. Equipment covered by this order includes two (2) Pitney Bowes 8/Series Model R400 Mail Finsihing Systems including peripheral equipment. The provider must be able to provide coverage from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM Monday to Friday to service the Pitney Bowes equipment located in Baltimore, MD. NOTE: 1st & 2nd Shift coverage provided by Pitney Bowes under their GSA Contract. Any responsible business who believes it has the necessary staff and resources to provide the described services should submit a complete capability statement (including documentation clearly demonstrating they have certified Pitney Bowes technicians including backups and substitutes available to cover the service period) to the Contracting Officer (at the address above) within seven (7) business days from the date of this notice. This is Not a request for proposals. SSA will not respond to, nor pay for requests for solicitations.
