- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a contract to United Defense LP Armament System Division on a sole source basis for the manufacture, machining and assembly of the fixed portion of the VIRGINIA Class Submarine propulsor required to support construction of the FY04-FY07 VIRGINIA Class ships. The anticipated contract will also include options for up to two additional hulls between FY05 and FY07, a spare for the VIRGINIA Class ship planned in FY06, as well as provide for a potential backfit unit on a SEAWOLF Class submarine projected for FY05 or FY06.
