- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for software maintenance for 74 each Automated Line Test Equipment (ALTE) systems, system maintenance for 2 each REACT 2001, and system maintenance for 2 each IBM RS/6000. These services are only known to be available from Hekimian because proprietary data or the Government's lack of technical data, plans, drawings, specifications, or other documentation required for full and open competition is not available. Other concerns having the ability to furnish the above services are requested to give written notification (including the name and telephone number of a point of contact) to the market survey file #36-00363, within 10 calendar days from the date of this announcement. Responses should provide information regarding the ability of your concern to satisfy the Government's requirement. All responses to this market survey will be considered prior to further acquisition action by the Government. Any inform! ation received as a result of this announcement will not be provided to other contractors and will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
