- Description
- The intent of this project is to provide Removal and Recycling of Abrasive Blasting Media (ABM) and other Miscellaneous Waste for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. The work includes furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, transportation, tools and equipment necessary to perform Waste Abrasive Blasting Media (ABM), foundry casting sand, red garnet sand, non-skid polypropylene waste, and miscellaneous blast grit waste removal and recycling at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, Washington. Offeror's must have established approved written procedures in place with the State of Washington, the Washington State Department of Ecology and any applicable counties or municipalities for the transportation and recycling of the identified waste streams. All responsible sources meeting this criteria, may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. It is estimated that 1200 tons of this waste will be recycled each year of the contract. A Requirements-type contract with a one-year term and an option to extend for two (2) additional years, is projected to be awarded by 15 October 2002. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562219. The related Small Business Size Standard is $10.5 million. This procurement is 100% Small Business set-aside. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), this solicitation will be limited to distribution on electrical medium; plans and specifications will be available for download free of charge via the Internet World Wide Web at: http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Hard copies (paper) or CD ROM WILL NOT be provided by the Government. The official plan holder's list will be maintained on the web-site and will not be mailed or faxed. All prospective bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, and plan centers are encouraged to register as plan holders. Note: This plan holder?s list may not include those plan holders obtaining the solicitation from other media distributors. Registering firms and plan centers must provide a complete company name, complete mailing address, area code and phone number, offeror type (Prime, Subcontractor, Supplier, Plan Room), company e-mail address, and business size (Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman-Owned Small Business or Large Business). Notification of any amendments and/or changes to solicitation will be made on the internet at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. THEREFORE, IT IS THE BIDDERS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEBSITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS OR NOTICES TO THIS SOLICITATION.
