Description
NA The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick, MA hereby gives its notice of intent to award a contract to Tri Tech USA Inc, S. Burlington, VT for the design and development of a Burner Base and Steam System that will be used in a sanitation syste m that provides potable hot water and maintains heat in the wash, rinse and sanitizing sinks. The NAICS Code is 333414 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 for this procurement. The project involves Phase I ? demonstrating the prototype boiler des ign with the proper identified refractory, water pumps, watertight electrical cables and associated components which will include providing sketches and theory of operation; Phase II - fabrication of two additional burner bases from recommended changes fro m the initial prototype; and Phase II - an investigation on the current design and theory of operation of the current Steam Generator and provide recommended changes. The performance schedule is Phase I shall be completed and delivered to Natick within 3 weeks after contract award; Phase II shall be completed and delivered to Natick within 4 weeks after acceptance of Phase I; and Phase III shall be completed and delivered to Natick 2 weeks after the acceptance of phase II. The solicitation document will b e issued on or about Friday, October 18, 2002. Inquiries must be received by 1 November 2002, 2:00 p.m to be considered. Interested firms will be considered only if they respond with clear and convincing documentation they are capable of meeting or excee ding the requirements, including performance schedule, detailed in the solicitation at a cost sufficiently more advantageous than the contractor named. If no response is received by the closing date, an award will be made to Tri Tech USA Inc.
