NOUN: Fan Spray Ring ; NSN: 2915-01-439-2368NZ; PN: 4082793-01;QTY: 4 or 7 or 10 (decision on qty will be made at time of award);U/I: Each; DELIVERY: JAN 2003 to Tinker AFB OK; APPLICABLE TO: F100-PW-229. SIZE/DIMENSIONS: approximately 39 inches diameter and approximately 7 inches in height. PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Nickel Alloy; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Precludes hot streaks at 2 locations which result in excessive augmentor aft end distress/warpage and finger seal erosion. Anticipated Solicitation issue date: October 25, 2002. Anticipated award date: December 10, 2002. No telephone solicitaton requests well be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Government Furnished drawings are not available. The award is expected to be made to approved sources only. Approved sources are: Pratt & Whitney Military Engines and Woodward Fuel Systems Textron. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
