- Description
- The Naval Air Depot, Cherry Point, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Applied Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), 400 Inverness Drive South, Suite 200 Englewood, CO 80112 for technical support services on an as needed basis for development of translation programs for interfacing between various inter-governmental computer systems; creation of specialized calculations and formulas for incorporation into daily work planning; to provide ongoing training; and troubleshooting to avert interfacing problems between the depots and NAVAIR, and to incorporate new technologies. ACS, Inc. designed the Business Pro System which was originally procured by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) repository for use by activities throughout the NAVAIR community where data is maintained for the development and tracking of time standards required for the completion of necessary tasks. NAVAIR Depot Cherry Point is delegated as the primary NAVAIR activity for maintaining time standard data. ACS, Inc. wrote the program language (Business Pro System) and retains all proprietary data rights to the existing system and future updates. Consequently, ACS, Inc, is the only known source that would be able to develop the required interfaces and integrate to other government systems. The resultant contract is for a Base and 4 Option Years. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(1)(2)(iii) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
