- Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for Blue Ridge Parkway Project PRA-BLRI 2M18 in McDowell County, North Carolina. This project consists of rehabilitation of Twin Tunnel No.1, Construction of Tunnel Portals, milling and overlay, and other work. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Bid documents are scheduled to be issued on or about Nov 4, 2002. Bids will be due on or about Dec 3, 2002. Interested parties should register as an Interested Vendor and also register to receive notifications regarding this solicitation through the Federal Business Opportunities website. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
