- Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for the Mammoth Cave National Park Project PRA-MACA 14(1) in Edmonson County, Kentucky. The project consists of the reconstruction of Maple Springs Road. The work includes clearing and grubbing, roadway excavation; placement of aggregate base, topsoil, asphalt base, asphalt surface, drainage improvements, stone masonry, steel back timber guardrail, and other miscellaneous work. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $500,000 to $1,000,000. Bid documents are scheduled to be issued on or about Nov 4, 2002. Bids will be due on or about Dec 3, 2002. Interested parties should register as an Interested Vendor and also register to receive notifications regarding this solicitation through the Federal Business Opportunities website. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
