- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Northeast Regional Contracting Office intends to issue a solicitation for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Danbury. The institution is located at 33 1/2 Pembroke Road in Danbury, Connecticut. The services to be provided shall include inpatient/outpatient hospital services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, outpatient institution services and laboratory services. The contract type is a firm fixed price, indefinite delivery requirements type contract. The contract is for a base period of 12-months with the addition of four 12-month option periods which may be exercised in accordance with the terms of the resulting contract. Services shall be provided within a 15 mile radius of FCI Danbury. The estimated quantities for the Base Year and all option years are as follows: 429 Inpatient Days, 689 Outpatient Visits for each contract year. The solicitation will be available approximately on or after November 22, 2002 and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available except in extreme circumstances AND only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government's best interest. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
