- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP)is seeking a contractor to provide educational services at the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp at Manchester, Kentucky. This is a firm-fixed unit price Indefinite Delivery/Requirements type contract with a one year base period and four-one year option renewals. The requirement shall include educational services leading to a two year Associate of Applied Science Degree in Construction Technology with special emphasis in Carpentry, Plumbing, and Electrical for federal inmates, as well as providing general education classes. Services shall include initial testing prior to placement of students in the program. The Contractor shall ensure all state paperwork and documents are completed for all students for certification. The Contractor/Instructor shall not work more than 30 hours per week. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestrictive basis, open to both small and large businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 61169. The FBOP anticipates posting the solicitation in the government electronic point of entry, Federal Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about October 7, 2002. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site.
