- Description
- Project is to repair approximately 2 miles of Orr Lake Road and obliteration of approximately .5 miles of abandoned Forest Service road on the Goosenest Ranger District, Klamath National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. Contract time is 45 calendar days with an estimated start work date no later than 30 September 2002. Price range is $100,000 to $250,000. This project is funded by Jobs in the Woods money. Jobs in the Woods projects are legislatively restricted to the following counties: Washington: Okanogan, Douglas, Chelan, Kititas, Yakima, Klickitat, Skamania, Clark, Cowlitz, Wahkiakum, Pacific, Lewis, Pierce, Thurston, Grays Harbor, Mason, Jefferson, Clallam, Kitsap, Island, San Juan, King, Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom; Oregon: Wasco, Jefferson, Deschutes, Lake, Klamath, Jackson, Josephine, Curry, Coos, Douglas, Lane, Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Marion, Yamhill, Polk, Clackamas, Multnomah, Hood River, Tillamook, Washington, Columbia, and Clatsop; California: Siskiyou, Shasta, Tehama, Glenn, Lake, Trinity, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Mendocino. Solicitation documents will be available for downloading from this site on or about August 2, 2002. Due to the severity of the current fire season, funding for this project is not presently available. The Forest Service anticipates receiving additional funding before the end of the current fiscal year (9/30/02) and this announcement is issued based on this assumption. A solicitation may be issued before funding is available, however, award of this project is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds.
