- NA . The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, has a requirement to upgrade a 225 Ton Cyclops Bridge Crane at the J. Strom Thurmond Power Plant in Clarks Hill, South Carolina. Work will include removing existing cab and controls and installing ne w cab with new controls as necessary. Remove and replace all seven motor and brake assemblies with new VFD compatible brake motors. Wire all motors, brakes and controls and test for proper operations. Install new runway and bridge/trolley conductor bar system. 125% Load Testing of crane upon completion. Work needs to be completed in 1 to 2 weeks during December 2002. This acquisition is set-aside for small business. All responsible businesses may submit a quote, which if timely received, shall be con sidered. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 3536 and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333923, with a size standard of 500. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only, and will be available on or about October 4, 2002. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided.
