- NA The U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center intends to award a purchase order to Clever Fellows Innovation Consortium (CFIC), a small business from Troy, NY, on a basis of other than full and open competition. The acquisition is for research and developme nt work on thermoacousitic refrigeration of large food storage containers. CFIC was awarded a Phase I contract under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program in December 2000. The Phase I contract ended in July 2001 and was completed prior t o the exercise of a Phase I option on that contract. CFIC is now being considered for a Phase II award under the competitive SBIR program. In anticipation of the Phase II award, the Army is interested in the pursuit of the work originally outlined in the Phase I option. There is no solicitation document available for this acquisition. Interested sources shall make any inquiries about this work no later than 10 Oct 02. Reference note 22, as above shall be awarded utilizing simplified acquisition procedu res, quotations received within nine (9) days after date of publication of this synopsis shall be considered by the Army.
