Description

NA THIS PRESOLICITATION NOTICE IS REISSUED TO PROVIDE THE POINT OF CONTACT FOR THE SOLICITATION: THERESA WOODARD, CONTRACT NEGOTIATOR, (256) 235-4118. All other information remains unchanged. Furnish all plant, labor, materials, and perform all work in str ict accordance with drawings for cadmium plating of M198, M102 and M119 Howitzer Components at Anniston Army Depot (ANAD), Alabama. The drawings are on Compact Disc and the solicitation will provide instructions on how each vendor must request the compact disc. New parts will be stripped, cadmium plated, inspected after plating for compliance with plating requirements according to drawings, and then separated and tagged with National Stock Number (NSN). Reclaimed parts will be cleaned, cadmium plated, and i nspected for compliance with plating requirements in drawings, and then returned without separating or tagging with the NSN. Turn around time to be one week or less. Parts to be plated will be shipped in a wooden shop box. ANAD will furnish parts only; all else needed to perform this contract will be furnished by the Contractor. This procurement is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 332813; the small business size is 500 employees. This solicitation wi ll be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Bids submitted must be in electronic format as stated in the solicitation. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet, https://www.anadprocnet.army.mil (Doing Business with Us). You must access the procurement network using the secure socket layer (SSL) port and you must have 128-bit encryption turned on in your internet browser. Estimated issued date is 7 Oct 02. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. It is incumbent upon interested parties to access the internet and obtain any amendments which may be issued.
