- The Air Armament Center (AAC) Area Attack Program Office, AAC/YH is anticipating awarding a Sole Source cost reimbursement contract to Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems. This contract is estimated to be awarded by 30 January 03. This effort is a requirements evolution to the Wind Corrected Munition Dispenser (WCMD) system to provide the government with extended range capability for the WCMD family of weapons. The WCMD is a ?smart? tail kit, which replaces the tail sections of Combined Effects Munition (CEM-CBU-87), GATOR weapon (CBU-89), and Sensor Fuzed Weapon (SFW-CBU-97). The WCMD tail guides the weapons to the intended target. This effort represents the evolutionary development to add a wing kit that utilizes the existing WCMD tail as the guidance section of the weapon. Anticipated period of performance of this effort is 36 months with an estimated program value of $63 million. The technical data package for the WCMD tail kit is proprietary contractor information and is not available to interested sources.
