- UNICOR intends to enter into a five (5) year firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Type contract for Hardwood. The solicitation number is FN1134-03 and this solicitation is issued as an Request For Proposal (RFP). The minimum delivery order is $500.00, the maximum delivery order is $3,000.00 and the combination of items is $15,000.00. This wood is used to make pallets for shipping furniture items. All wood is hardwood, new green, rough sawn and steel banded on pallets in bundles not to exceed 4 feet in height and 4 feet in width. No notching is required on the 1 1/4 LBR0016. Lumber is grade A or B, free of wane or bark, square 4 corners. Lumber is classified by the National wooden Pallet and Container Association and each material piece is noted on the prints for class and grade of lumber. Copies of drawings will be provided. Item 0001 - LBR0016, Hardwood, 1-1/4"x3-1/2"x108"? Grade-A, U/I: Each, Est. Qty: 54,000, Item 0002 - LBR0017, Hardwood, 5/8"x3-1/2"x96", Grade-A/B, U/I: Each, Est. Qty: 86,400, Item 0003 - LBR0018, Hardwood, 5/8"x5-1/2"x96" Grade-A/B, U/I: Each, Est. Qty: 72,000, Item 0004 LBR2188 Hardwood, 1-1/4"x3-1/2"x55", Notched, AB, U/I: Each, Est. Qty: 43,200. The guaranteed minimum is $150,000.00 or minimum quantity for each item as follows: Item 0001 LBR0016- 27,000 each, Items 0002 LBR0017-43,200 each, Item 0003-LBR0018-36,000 each and Item 0004-LBR2188 21,600 each, whichever occurs first. Quantities are estimated for a five year period. All items are to be delivered FOB Destination FCI Milan, MI. An economic price adjustment shall be included. Delivery is 15 calendar days after receipt of delivery orders. This is a full and open competitive Request for Proposal for Hardwood. The variation in quantity is -/+10%. Offerors are advised that the Government intends to evaluate offers and award on an all or none basis. Offerors shall submit signed and dated offers to UNICOR, Office Furniture Business Group, 320 First Street NW, 400 Building, 7th Floor, Washington, DC 20534, ATTN: Bid Custodian. All offerors must acknowledgment all amendments if applicable. Offers received after the exact time and date specified will not be considered. Fax proposals are accepted at 202-305-7337 or 7350. Offers must send in original copy of offer within 2 days of offer closing date. NOTICE: This acquisition will be conducted through the reverse auction process. Only those offerors participating in the reverse auction process will be considered for award. PRICING SHOULD NOT BE SUBMITTED WITH INITIAL PROPOSAL - each offeror will submit their pricing for this requirement through the reverse auction. All offerors are required to submit their initial proposal in accordance with the procedures below and contact Tatea Cavanaugh, Contracting Officer, at (202) 305-7302 or email address, tcavanaugh@central.unicor.gov, to register for the reverse auction. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate proposals: past performance, technical, and price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
