Description
Architect-Engineering Services. A minimum of three contracts for multi-disciplinary architectural-engineering services on an indefinite delivery, on-call basis at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Typical work includes, but is not limited to: (1) Alteration and repair of grounds, roads, buildings and structures; (2) Alteration and repair of utilities; (3) Alteration and repair of various types of mechanical systems to include HVAC and associated controls, fire protection, steam plants, steam distribution and piping, waste treatment, and other mechanical systems; (4) Alteration and repair of various types of lighting and power distribution systems; (5) Feasibility, traffic and other studies. (6) Conceptual renderings. (7) Topographical and Geodetic Surveys. The contract will have a one-year basic performance period with an option to extend for one additional year. A maximum monetary limit of $500,000.00 per year exists on the total design fees paid with a minimum of $5,000.00 per year. No single task assignment will exceed $299,000.00. Firms being considered are restricted to Region 8. Region 8 is defined as Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. One contract will be awarded to an 8(A), (Small Disadvantaged) design firm and will be restricted to the Salt Lake City District Office. All designs produced for submission must be reviewed and stamped by an Architect or Engineer licensed in the respective field of interest in the state of Utah. Firms submitting for consideration must be capable of providing digitized drawings in DXF, DGN or DWG format and electronic documents on 3 1/2 inch disks and compact disks. Firms must also be capable of providing information/data in MS Word and Excel. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
