Description
Synopsis is for seventeen (17) line items of seat cushion spares in support of the C-130 acft. A firm fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract is contemplated with a basic and four option years. Delivery is 45 days for each line item. Stock class is 1680, various part numbers and nomenclatures: From seat back cushions, to armrests. Quantity ranges (min-max) from 1 each to 180 each. Weight from 8 to 15 lbs, dimensions predominant 24X17X15 (various dimensions); all items are made of visco-elastic aqueous foam and mordura II fabric upholstery. TO: Oregon Aero Inc, Scapoosa OR & Kellstrom Industries, Miramar Fl.(Kellstrom is vendor for Oregon Aero). Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. The approximate issue date will be 8 Mar 2002 with a response of 8 Apr 2002. Authority: 10 USC 2304(c)(1). Justification: supplies or services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as tot the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of the proposals in the source selection process.
